The
Boxer/Lab Mix

Roland James
I
ran across
your site and thought I'd share the story of Roland
James. In May of 2004, my boss got a call from the
Lexington Humane Society. She is a foster mom,
and was ready for a new rescue. She got this 2
1/2 month old Boxer/Black Lab puppy, who had been
abused. His former owners had taken scissors
and cut off both his ears, then dropped him off in
the night drop box at the Humane Society. 3
days after he was hurt, I met this dog, and he had
no fear. He wasn't skittish, just wanted to
play and get loved on. I couldn't turn him
away. He's my first dog, and has become my
child. He's 11 months old now, and is a happy,
well adjusted boy. :)

Truck
This
is a picture of me and my Boxer/ Lab Mix puppy he was only 4
months old here he is 7 months old now and a lot bigger! His
name is Truck, cause he is so big he thinks he is little
though it is so funny if you sit in the floor he will come
up to you and put one paw on each shoulder as if to say hold
me, he is hilarious. He runs into everything but it doesn’t
faze him he is so big. Also when you don’t pay attention to
him if you are watching TV he will sit in front of you and
just grunt like just mad cause all attention is not on him.
One weird thing, he does not bark, never has, it’s
wonderful. We (me and my boyfriend) purchased him from an
animal shelter. He has never pottied in the house I guess
you could say he was born house trained. I love Truck!!!

Bryan

Bryan, being his
silly-self is a little over a year in a half.

When
we rescued our special new friend we were told he is a
boxer lab mix. I am unsure about
the lab, but the boxer
is quite apparent. He has all the boxer mannerisms. He
does all the things a happy boxer does. He has brought
much joy to our big family. We have 4 kids, 3 birds, 2
tortoises
and now 2 dogs. If I knew of how fun loving
and hilarious boxers were I would had one years ago.
I
will have them forever. I cannot envision my life
without that fun loving attitude everyday. He
is compliant most of the time, he lets us do all kinds
of things with/to him without aggression. That is most
important with kids. Even though stubborn at times and
more challenging to obedience train, I would not trade
him for the world!
