This is our boxador, Penelope (Penny for short). She was given to me by one of my students. We already have a hyperdominant pure bred cockerspaniel and we were looking for an easy going dog to bond with our 4 year old. Penny's mom is a white boxer and her dad is a white lab.
She is brindle. She looks mostly like a brindle lab....which is strange so people always confuse her with a pit bull. She uses her front paws like a boxer and has learned to open doors all over our house. She is my 4 year old's best friend. She is patient, kind and just has a happy-go-lucky personality. She rarely barks and is housetrained and has learned general obedience at 7 months. The only problem that we have had is chewing! She has eaten 7 pairs of shoes and has chewed some of the trim around the doors. We also had to teach her to keep her paws down when she greets people because she can accidentally scratch them.
She is HUGE! She's gained almost 5 pounds a week and the vet predicts she'll be close to 90 pounds..so you have to be prepared for that. I have had dogs my whole life and this is one of the best mixes I've ever had.
